Hi, am new to these forums, found the link through RX7Club.

I have recently picked up a Generation 1 on a C....for free! Basically, the car has been standing for 2 years after failing its MOT on rusty sills and brake pipes. Thankfully the car now runs and am now busy stripping it down to see if anything else is wrong!

The rear valence has totally gone now and am trying to source a new panel so if anyone knows where I can get hold of one then please let me know! Other than that the car is fairly much sound, brakes have had it totally and have managed to find rear discs and all pads but am having trouble finding the front discs so if anyone could help me out with that one as well I would be most grateful!

Look forward to hearing from you all, in the meantime, heres a piccie of the old girl!

Excellent stuff - looks like a good find if it was for free! nice one.

For parts, check out our Club Links page:

Someone like Tim @ RX Motor's should be able to help with parts.

Hi, I think we spoke on the Rx7club forum (you wanted to know how wide an FB was)

Yep, Rx motors , Jimmys , Rotechnics , WGT .... are good places to try for parts ... I've also found the local Mazda dealer to be fairly good for service parts

Thanks for the replies guys. Mike we did speak on the RX7 club (you provided me with a list of the spec). I have a Mazda dealer about 2 mins down the road from where I live so may take a trip down there. Was a bit worried incase they no longer stock parts for the RX's...hopefully not!

Looking forward to getting mine on the road, have driven it up and down the drive, love the noise and the driving position! Hopefully get to meet up with some of you guys too at some meets, be nice to have a look round some others! Shame I missed brooklands, not far away....ho hum!

Sweet car, my favourite color also, btw.

Gotta love the Euro-spec spoiler, fender marker lights, two-tone front turn sigs, and those trick headlamp washers :)

None of those things were available in the US...

Although we did get the fuel injected 13b, woot!

Nice find. Rust seems to be very common on 1st gens, btw...
As far as I know, there are quite a few bodypanels that are no longer available...
For example: my fathers SA (which I sold to him ;) )was repaired using inner rear fenders from an old 323, cause those were still available, but the RX7 parts not. You can't see that, since the parts are very simular, yet I don't suppose it was an easy job (I bought the car as an unfinished restoration project)...
