new post alerts

I keep getting emails saying a certain user has replied to a thread i started or was involved in
but when i click the link and go to it there is no new post by that user or any other

Dave must apologise for this. Over the last couple of days we have had some ignorant idiot spamming the board with links to porn.

The team have decided to turn on new user activation controls, and every new user has to be manually approved. This will slow down a little bit the time it takes for new users to be allowed to post, but we all hope that it will help cure this original problem.

Please let us know if you spot anything else.

PS. At the bottom just about the Submit Reply button you have a list of options, you could also de-select the Email Notification button.

I get the 'replied to thread' message and when I go on at 6.30am, report the spammer to a moderator.
Whoever is doing it needs stringing up :reallymad

Yep - bloody pain in the arse the person putting up the SPAM. Anyways, it should be sorted now.
