Hi Lee,

The idea came from a company in the States called Brake-Man that use this shape to promote cooling of the disc, and as you will see in various Mags over the next few months the company l run is now offering this shape disc for most applications.

Hi Danny,

The original cost of the front brake set up was 1150 but since then the Brembo has increased the cost of these callipers through the roof so it's not really viable any more!!

Hi Clive

Nice photos but that yellow is not shy at all :-) What do you do to keep your paintwork in such top condition?

Cheers

Hi Kevin,

Front and rear bumpers are new and freshly painted then l used a liquid cutting compound that has only just come on the market that also has polish in it to bring the rest of the car back to it's original condition.

it's called Liquid G3 made by Farecla ( don't buy the paste version) and is only available from Trade paint supply companies .

Hope this helps.

do the wierd shape brakes work though ? improvement over standard shape discs ? or worse? looks like you have less surface area on the brakes so worse ability?

Hi Mat ,

ln the states Brake Man went head to head in an official test against all your AP's Brembo's etc and won overall ! BTW they market a calliper / Disc set up for the 3rd Gen at 5000pounds !!!

My Discs are 13 in diameter AP's on the front modified, and l can't even fit 16in wheels on the car anymore so l haven't compromised the area by the machining !

was the work done by Shy auto developments then ?

I've not heard from Wookie in a while , he is meant to be making me an exhaust when he gets round to sorting one out for his 1st gen
