Hi All,
I am thinking of finishing the hole ReAmemyia Package by geting some of there Rims sent over.
What i'm intrested to know is what sort of weight etc they are and if they are worth the money? They do use them on there race car but i dont know if its just to make it look nice and then swap them for light weights on race day?.
Thanks.

Hi Chris,
funny you should ask this. After the brooklands event the other week, I went to heathrow to meet a race driver who races for re-amemiya. We had a good long chat about all rotary related stuff. H e brought me over a re-amemiya catalogue. for the fd, fc cosmo & roadster, I was telling him how I love the re-amemiya wheels but they are too expensive. His reply was kind of surprising, he said he would not recommend me or anyone else getting these wheels, even though they look good he said they are really heavy
he did tell me the weight which I cannot remember. He has an fd himself and said he would never put them on his either.
Yet saying that stock fd wheels are 16.5 lbs each, the one's I recently put on mine are 25.2 lbs each, yet my rx7 handles like never before.

Cool, This would'nt happen to be Inukai would it?
I'm not sure which dirrection to go with my rims, i would like some 18" split rims but as you say they will affect the Handling of the car.
I have noticed since i posted this that REA uses two types of rims on there cars, so my theory may be correct that these wheels are purly for show.

Hi Chris,
Yes it's Inukai I met. A cool guy & a real rotary fanatic.
Probably are for show, but they don't half look good though.

Do you know if there's a place i can get wheel weights from?
I have now seen some Zigen rims, but i also have no idea what they weigh (as there split rims quite alot i'd think)
I might just buy some heavy show rims and get some stock FD ones for the track.
