was chattin to ellis on another rx7 forum and he said he posted a list of all the differetn versions of rx7's that are available.

i was just wondering if anyone knows where it is?

im just about to buy one and i need to know the various versions that are on offer...

jesus christ, i didnt think there was that many - my heads in a spin.

i kinda like the sound of the RZ and the RS, definatly want the 280 brake version.

but im torn now cos i was after one of the ones with red leather........did any of them have the 280 brake lump?

oh and im guessing the RZ is the striped out model, but is there a 280 with all the mod cons?

like to have some gadets really, air con etc......be nice ;)

oh and finally, (got questions coming out of my ears) which one would you all say is the best model? for performance and for comfort rolled in one?

Hi Ray,
Most rx7you would get from Japan are approx 280 bhp anyway because many come with exhuast and inductiion kit already or some other mods. All the models are quick there is no such thing as a slow rx7. The rz still has a/c. If your looking for comfort then the type rb type x or touring x have the sofest shocks and springs. Yet there still harsh. I think the best thing you could do is take one for a test drive you will be pleasantly suprised how quick they all are whether 255, 265 or 280 bhp.

yeah im not too fussed about the ride of it.............ive driven a car thats been lowered on already harsher then harsh shocks for quite some time so thats not the matter.

long as its handles better im happy.

so the lightweight RZ has aircon? hmmm, man its like xmas morning, just dont know which to choose first.

as for insurance, i was reading on one of your other posts that u do a sheme, but its not for 17-25 year olds............ill be 25 very very soon, does that put me out of the runnings for that scheme?

so far ive been gettin quotes on standard spec 7's for about 950 FC

honestly, i have so much to ask............dont know where to begin.

Ray, firstly welcome.

The main model FD with the red leather int. was the ZR Bathhurst.

But normally by the time its got over here, someone has had the good stuff out of it. and replaced with whatever they had about.

and thats the ZR Bathhurst u say? did they make any of those with the 280ps?

im tryin to get the most powerful i can really, i know they are all fast but really, i wanna have the best benchmark for modding possible.

Hi Ray,
The max power you can get tne is 265bhp as standard, but as I said before you don't have many standard car's in Japan, so chances are that you would get one that is already pushing if not exceeding 280 bhp.

now that is sweet, black with the red leather.
not sure on some of the other bits on it.....but ill prolly run it in standard trim for a year or so till i get bored of how it looks, then start defacing it lol

just do little bits to clean it up a tad, ie clear indicators, 18's, lower it a tad, maybe some tints....not sure yet.....

ive been looking at newera imports and thinking of using them......

have many ppl on here used them to import?
they seem to be really competant at what they do, sending out all the pictures, finding u exactly what u want etc.......

would u recommend them?
