I live in Birmingham and I was wondering if anyone around here have a RX7?... Basically I'm looking for a place thats close so I could get it serviced without travelling too far! do normal garages service RX7's or do I really have to go to a specialist one?

Will MAZDA themselves do servicing? cos theres one quite near here!

Thanks all!

Nooooooooooo never ever ever ever ever take a J-Spec RX7 to a Mazda dealer, go to a specialist that knows what they are on about! Most mazda dealers will never have seen an RX7 in the flesh let alone know what to do with one!

I can't see why any decent garage can't service an RX7 its not exactly rocket science and an oil, plug and filter change isn't a whole lot different from doing it on any other car.

I would personally rather someone who knew the ins and outs of my car serviced it and could tell me of any problems that may or are occuring. Oil change, filter and sparks are very easy to do, its the "specialist knowledge" of the rotary engine i would be looking for.

Mmmmmmmm ! Changing the plugs on mine was even more difficult than rocket science - or at least I felt the pain rather a lot.
