Whats the difference between a 3rd gen RX7 type R and a type R2? How much is a 1994 Type R2 worth?

Main difference is that a Type R is 2+2, Type R2 is 2 seater with storage bins instead of seats.

Hi, just a quick question. Was the R1 a 1993 model and is it the
model with the harder suspension? Also is it 255bhp and has 17" or
16" wheels?
Does the R1 have storage bins aswel?

Hi Matt,
The r1 was made between 91-93 the r2 from late 93 to 94 and 95 onwards was another version which was just called the type r.
They came with 16inch wheels, the r1 had slighty harder suspension all pre 96 vehicles were 255bhp regardless of type.
typre r was 2+2.

Wasn't the R-1 a performance option package for the US only? Twin oil coolers, firmer suspension, rear spoiler etc.

They had a r1 in Japan too, whether it was the same as the U.S spec I'm not sure.
