As i say no promises so if anyone else can then go for it but i'll try bending his arm.....<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_10_3.gif' border=0></a> lol

just seen an advert running for it on ITV ... looks like it will be very entertaining. There were a few big sideways moments on the add :D ( I wonder if Mazda regretted using Cadwell as the first venue ... its not very forgiving  )

Bro happy to burn it <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_200v.gif' border=0></a> to DVD memory (as in me/him forgetting <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_13_15.gif' border=0></a>) provided, seemed less happy about having to mess about with it in terms of compacting &/or editing so can more easily send via the the ole compoota <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_1_23.gif' border=0></a> but as i say worst case should have a copy on DVD for ya & if best case it's not too massive or need fiddling with is there any cunning plans of where i can send it &/or upload it glenn given it's still guna be quite large, as in Si quite likely to crash computer with smilie abuse & wouldn't want it to fail at the last hurdle (KB or wotever) anyway lettice <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_4_64.gif' border=0></a> no yer thoughts.....

That would be great guys - a lot of interested people in Oz would like to see the series! Take a note of the times they are doing, I think you'll be surprised how quick they are.

Good first program, very interesting, and im now looking forward to seeing the first race next Sunday.
Still a bit puzzled by the choice of exiting Cadwells club circuit hairpin for practising power slides though... a bit obvious that youre going to end up either clouting the bank on the left or the barrier on the right if you dont catch it. The resulting bent RX8s were a bit inevitable, but hey... wadda i know?!
Good publicity for the only new Rotary engined car available.

They are slow. Very slow...
Last round the T Cars were faster but about 7 secs a lap which is 14yr olds in cars restricted to 100mph.
At Oulton they were doing about the same lap times as the Minis iirc

OK got it on DVD although my DVD player doesn't seem to like the type of disc it's on but has been checked & does work in top quality if you dont have an awkward sodding PC <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_8_1.gif' border=0></a> anyway rules out me uploading it anywhere for sure so where/who does it need posting to?

I quite enjoyed it. Not really a fan of the 'drama', wish they'd concentrate more on the racing, the abilities of the drivers and the techniques etc involved.
Looking forward to seeing what Glenn makes of it all, and i can't wait to see the girls put in some good times and drive the cars hard. Think the RX-8s are going to prove pretty quick, a few mags here rate them as fast round a track as an M3...which, granted, might not be the quickest car on the planet...but still quick enough to make entertaining viewing.
Also, when you compare the RX-8 and M3 on paper, seems ridiculous that the two would be comparable in terms of track times. But i guess that RX-8 must be in it's element around circuits.
Anyway, can't wait to see how the program unfolds! :cool

Well if you look at the lap times in Autotrader the RX8's are pretty much the slowest thing at any event, normally by quite some margin.
Im interested to see the Brands times, as im not too familiar with Knockhill and Cadwell so dont have much to compare too on those tracks.

Far too much like Big Brother for me. But, a lot of people watch Big Brother and I dont, so, what do I know?
I know I would rather see much more driving and less other stuff. I think their times were a bit slow, cause they were really scared of being kicked out if you lost control. Surely, this is not the fastest way to drive?
I couldnt figure out what most of the selection criteria had to do with racing, though. eg - being submerged in a sinking helicopter sumilator?????? Have all the F1 boys, and all MSA licence holders in the UK been through this test???
I also dont know why Women complain that there are no women in Motorsport. One of them said " there is no category for women". Err, there is no category that excludes women, so what's the problem? Get a car and go racing, thats all you have to do.
Ok, lets hope the future programs are about the racing! Fantastic exposure for the RX-8, though :)

the only good bit about it was that they used the rx8 ... I thought the title music was particulary distasteful ! Its been made to grab ratings and thats it.

If you want to see how well they are doing during the races etc, its being covered in autosport at the mo'.
Looks like being a 1 horse race at the mo'.

Hi Lee,
I was coming from the angle of - for what the car is (bit like FDDreamer has stated). Sure it won't be as fast as many of the UK circuit cars, but should be bloody quick for what it is.
Only 239hp with 1350kgs?? pretty damn good in my books! :)

For the DVD scooby etc....
Is it in AVI or MPG format so that other people will be able to download (as I will host it on site) hopefully won't get into trouble but I'm sure it should get some interest OUTSIDE the UK.
Let me know.
.ps Helps if I log in as myself! :)

I bet the instructor was considerably quicker. Remember none of these women have raced before - one of them was DQd for lying about previously holding a race license...
[OK, having read some of the discussion on Petrolheads I take that back. It's not going to persuade me to cancel my order however. :D ]

Thats interesting, I'm assuming that they must have pretty hardy brake lines etc?
I have noticed that a lot of plastic trim seems to be missing off of the cars featured in autosport....

Does anyone know if the girls will be doing a race that requires them to complete more laps? Say 20? Just be interesting to see how the brakes hold up to some sustained abuse! :p
