well what a rotary history making day today at winternationals finals of drag racing in oz ....in front of 30000+ people archie from mazfix in his chev/cosmo drag car 20b tripple turboed car went a new world record 201mph pass ...1st rotary powered vehicle in the world to do so and set a new oz et record of 6.99 also..everyone is over the moon with this time and mph and the whole place erupted in excitement and cheers when it happened...the pass was very lose also and got off throttle twice so it will go quickera again on straighter pass....the qld jamboree will be huge and you guys should all make the trip..we all went out for dinner and top shelf drinks...archies shout of course...cheers :D :rollin :wave :p boostn clothing there sponsor is organising 200mph tshirts now as we speak and will done asap......will keep you guys posted:wave

i think he means first rotary to do over 200 mph on a quarter mile. Are you thinking of the one in america on the salt flats?

no it was on a road in jp but it was longer than a quarter mile good vid though.
over 200 in a quarter mile i thought he was on about top speed thats amazing does any 1 have a vid of it,well dun again top showing :god

Jesus! So he must have a street port, front mount intercooler, bigger injectors, fuel pump, ecu, probably gone single turbo, larger radiator, anti lag too I'd have thought. Do you know what intake he's using (probably blitz or apexi...), and if he's got ducting sorted out...

He probably took out the passenger and rear seats to get that sort of time...

Bet he's using S02's as well. I take it that was a dry day? what kind of intake temps did he get? Was he using an octane booster?

I suppose he was using a midpipe? did he get any boost creep? I guess he must have polished it before hand, so it slipped through the air quicker. Was it the later 16bit ecu? What sparkplugs is he using? Was it auto or manual?

It runs 4 cats and a dog, mid pipe is from a mini moke, light bulb spark plugs, 84 bit ecu with 35.64 extra bit jets, powerhydrahover drive gearbox, single injector from the QE3, running on lighter fluid fuel!

What wax does he use? I've the E-Series PHH drive gearbox - I assume that's the one he uses...
