Rear Fog Light

Hi all,

Just a quick question. I'm just about to pick up my car from the docks (FD3S) I need to MOT it but it needs a rear fog lamp. How have you fitted one or have you made one of your brake lights the fog. Any advice would be great! cheers

Hello Adam, sorry about the delay in replying. To do your rear fog light you will need the following:

Wire
Illuminated Switch
One bottle of Red nail varnish! - to paint the inside of the light
Soldering iron
Couple of tools (screwdrivers/pliers etc.)

Best way to do it, is to turn one of your reversing lights into a fog light. You need to find a power source in around the console - or use a relay from a power source under the dash. Then run the trigger wire down to the rear light (through the car).

It isn't too difficult once you get going.

You other option would be to purchase a fog light kit - but these re bulky and don't look the best.
