I thought they sold less than 150 3rd gens in the UK, that must make them pretty rare ( well imports will have far exceeded that by now at a guess)
Wheres Clive when you need him ! Clive, numbers please ! :D

Hi Mike , hope this helps,
124 officially imported / sold in Britain, Mazda confirmed this ages ago to me .
At the end of 2000 l brought figures from our main vehicle registry office ( DLVA) and l was able to total up about 500 including imported 3rd Gen's on the road .
With the advent of Fast and the Furious more people have imported and wanted these cars so l would now up that figure l guess to about 650 taking into account a few ! being lost forever along the way.
Right gota go and get me anorak off now as it's getting a bit warm!!

Hi Ryan
I got my C-west kit imported from www.rx7.com
They seemed reasonably priced (especially the '99 spec combo lights for the front bumper, cost around $398 where as some other places were charging around the $550 - 600 mark) and delivery was quick, under 3 weeks I think.
Just need the car to put it on now :)
They do MazdaSpeed and Knightsport stuff aswell.
Watch out for UK duty and customs tax costs though...fairly hefty.
:(
hope this helps

that helps a lot thanks, i was going to go with a replica off www.rotaryextreme.com i havent heard anything but good things about that website
i have just had a set of rear mazdaspeed gtc skirts delivered, very light and very nice, certainly different having a 2 piece rear skirt set!
all i need now is to get my car back waiting for a new engine :(

Yeah I was going to go with rotary extreme first too, but it only worked out 2-300 dollars more for original kit so I went for that. Although Ive heard good things about the rotary extreme replica's I was still a bit wary, didnt want to spend all that cash and get a badly fitting kit.
Might go for their Scoot bonnet replica though, I love that bonnet!:)
Just looked at a pic of the skirts you've got, v.nice!:)

i always liked the c-west kit, and i love that scoot hood! somebody on here was doing replicas a while back!
im not sure what skirts they are to be honest, they came with the car when i bought it, they look similar to the wings west ones, not 100% sure though!

no i meant the MazdaSpeed GTC ones you said you bought, had a look at them on a website.
Where do you reckon I should fit the number plate on the C-west front? I cant make my mind up, where-ever i think of putting it seems to spoil it in some way!
Dont wanna put it same place as original one would go, was thinking of putting it in the centre recess in front of mesh, that way it would keep all the lines of the bumper intact, only thing is might reduce the airflow to the engine. I dunno, any ideas?

im not sure to be honest! i had a number plate made up in a graphics shop that just sticks on, its much smaller than a stock number plate, and apparently your allowed to have any size numberplate anywhere on the front of your car as long as its an import and as long as its visible! not sure how much truth is in that but still looks much better with a smaller centred numberplate :)

Thanks 4 info, I'll have to look into that more, now you say it I remember reading somewhere that imports are allowed a smaller plate.
I'll have to find out how small you can make it, dont wanna give the old bill another excuse to pull me over !:)

Characters & spacing have to be the same as a motorbike plate.
According to the DVLA website they know of no stick-on plates that are legal.
Guess who has recently been done for his plate  I'm still trying to find somewhere local that will make me up a legal plate that is smaller than than a full size UK plate

i heard jap imports were different thought because the stock bumpers dont come with places to mount the plates?

Try www.gtgrafix.com , they should be able to "size" any style you want.
Hope this helps .
