Bit of a varied paint job? what colours are you going to use?

it took me ages to fade the beige into the red like that, just need laquer now

hi mike.

it does look good in the photos. in real life its a bit different.
ill explain. the first two photos are when it was sprayed in solid red. very shiney. then my man put some laquer over the top. this shine gets sucked into the solid colour so it now looks dry. it all needs to be flatted and polished. also i was against the clock at every work interval. i done the first repairs at my uncles gararge. it had to be ground down repaired and primed before i went home in the car so i was rushing. this went on for a couple of saturdays. then at work it had to be prepped and out asap so again more rushing the end result is i wish id spent more time on it. the most important thing is it will look quite nice at this years shows. the cost has been higher than i first thought.

i had to pay for the paint and material
i payed the painter
it cost me a frendly neabour( i made a mess outside his house)
it may have cost me my job because i had a row with the boss about working on my car in work time (it got very heated with much name calling, stuff i couldnt put here)

oh yeah i was going to give you guys with t2's some performance tips.

it would seem that since my car is all shiny and looking good now, it goes faster stops better handles sharper, all the knocks and squeeks have disapeared and today while driving with the roof open, radio up, and sun shining the muscles in my cheeks kept going into spasm

so a respray is money well spent

as for the pub meet tomorrow i might not go as im going to a job interveiw at 6 pm so it would be a push to get there. if i do manage it i will go in my other car.

polish. fish i use MER. no special reason i just liked the demo they use were they set fire to it on that mini bonnet :D

ive use it for years now and i think it makes paint look shiny so it cant be that bad.
