Some clips of the Belgian RX8 silhouette racer we have out here. running a 20B 3 rotor engine (NA), built in the US and maintenanced/tuned by Pip at WGT Developments UK.
The car is owned and built by Thierry Boutsen, a former Belgian F1 driver (in the 80's)

If thats the black one, I had a good look round it last year when I was at Pips for an MOT - loving the sequential 'box!!

no it has always been white. it's a tubular frame with the engine in the back.
In fact it was a tube frame which used to be covered with a Renault Megane silhoutte. Later bought by the Boutsen team who put a RX8 silhouette over it and a 20B in the back

Boutsen actually drove until '93 IIRC when he landed a Jordan drive after 2 years at the old Ligier team.
He and Riccardo Patrese were the butt of a James Hunt comment in 1990 when he said "Frank Williams must be kicking himself this year as he has a first rate car, and two second rate drivers." Hunt had a long standing downer on Patrese for many years as he blamed him for the crash in which Ronnie Peterson died, so Boutsen was referenced by association I'd say. BBC commentary just aint what it used to be.
Anyway, the car is superb and the Spa video I enjoyed a lot. Saw the car at WGT in 2008 after a session on the dyno, it looked pretty good then I have to say.

Excellent vid, I wish we had more rotaries in racing, or even a rotary series....

Always thought that one of the saddest F1 story's belonged to Thierry Boutsen, when after winning the Hungarian Grand Prix in 1990 he arrived back in the pits after the celebrations to find all the Williams crew had gone home and there was not one person left to greet him !
Thats when he realised he wasn't going to be a Williams Grand Prix driver any more :3Confused,
