Excellent project! Been thinking about this one a lot of late! Whats invovled, do you use the MX5 box etc?

We used the RX7 box and diff in this car as I couldnt see the MX5 ones lasting 5 minutes at this power level. Custom mounts all the way through. Physically it drops in very easily, the engine is mounted quiet a way back so the transmission tunnel opening was opened up a little to accomodate the bellhousing.

Very impressive! Nice to see a break away from the norm! Is there any plans to reproduce said mounts to form a kit?

No plans to produce any form of mounting kit. Struggled to think of something really unique to do with another FD so it was great to do something completely different.

Quick pic to show how it stands. Want to replicate the Feed front and rear arches for the MX as the new wheels with 0 offset stick out a little :)

Been on the back burner for a while now but will get there in the end!
Been putting the arches on this afternoon, rear quarters still need cutting and welding and then get it ready for some paint.

This NEEDS to get finished, Martin, it's gonna be such an awesome (and slightly scary ) car! Did you get your more man-sized driveshafts sorted yet?
I see you finished murderising that Legacy that was next to it then, btw :Giggle

Should look really good with paint. Judging by how much I'm enjoying mine, and that fact that yours probably has twice the power it should be pretty damn special to drive :)

Will get the proper shafts sorted before it comes out for proper play next year but Chris is welding up the old ones for now so I can move it round without pushing the old slag!
Legacy shell went to the big scrappy in the sky on Friday :)
