hi first off im new to this site, ive read in on alot of posts and decided i needed to be part of this site, it has wonderfully valuable knowledge for a novice, newbee, and knowledged individual on rotary's. thanks to all who have posted your food for thought has been very helpful. k, well im no pro with rx7's,but am fairly familiar with the car and drive train. im having trouble starting the car, i put the key in the ignition and turn i get one wut seems to be a click and nothing.all of my lights come on and do not dim as well as gauges in the dash when key is turned. it seems that something is not getting current to the starter solenoid to acknowledge 12vs to turn the starter over. i have replaced all the fuses under the hood in the relay strip .i have replaced the ignition switch, and starter as well.i took my test light and ground it to a bolt and took off the plug that goes to the solenoid and as someone turned the key touched it into the connector for current , nothing. any help as to what it might be would be greatly appreciated. the car is a 1988 non turbo rx7, at,13b motor. thank you guyz, you guyz are the bomb with rotarty's

Sounds like you have a break in the wire between the ignition and starter if your not getting voltage at the starter.

Oh and Welcome to the club, enjoy your stay.

would the stock alarm or theft device cause there to be a beak in current from that switch? if so where could i find the anti theft unit? can i jus put a new wire in place of the old one that goes to the solenoid? it looks like from under my car the plug to the solenoid leads up to a connector at the main harness or (fat wrap of wires) though it is not the only wire in the plug there are four wires leading off of the connector to the fat wrap of wires by the way thnx .
