Ok question for you all, if I go for wide arches on the fc do I get them smoothed in, or do I go for the rugged bolted on look?

+ smoothed wide arches are going to cost loads right?
win win for rivets

Yep as most of the car will need respraying to match it all in etc
I had stupidly never considered the rivet option or else I would have had them long before now, lol

Ok, when i get the widfe arches sorted, do i stick with the current design on the car ie the stars

or do i go for this instead? Using chrome for the blobs and then black for the lines

stars would be cool, but the side of the car will no longer be straight so it would look a bit weird imo. You might aswell try the stars, then if it looks bad, change it :D

Rivet on and stick with the stars. Reckon you might be able to fit in a sorta jagged pin stripe squiggle, also in silver, between the sticky outty bits on the front and rear arches on the wide ones. Break it up a little?

Rivets for so many reasons, and the second (new) design definately.
Seems a shame not to spruce it up if it's going wide. (you could always include stars to keep the others happy ;) )

picture quoted for stupidity...
mitch:
A. the rivets arent even pushed in yet
B. cars not fully painted so is gonna stick out more
C. ITS ....ING COOL. Its JTP's truck/cab.. its MEAN to be like that(for now)
D. if he blends them in.. a slight knock, a slight scrape, any amount of chassis twisting (hard breaking/accel over time ofc), or a pothol of UK motorway specification.. will crack it.. meaning more money and a blowover of paint..
SO unless he decides to continue to just hard park it at shows rather than drift/use it.. its silly to blend it. Peter Taylor did it on his cab and it looks good.. because it INTENDED as a show car..
You blend arches on a drift car.. your an idiot.. or just fake.
my thoughts. :Giggle

For a show car then smooth as you like unless its a drift car for show purposes then bolt them on in whatever fashion suits. I did have a crack in my rear arch from I think some obscene angles when jacking the the car up from one side. That cost me the whole side to be resprayed. If you intend to drift then bolt them on, it does give that rugged look and by far the cheaper option. Also my entire rear end was blended in, including the side skirts, bigh risk but worth it for my needs.
