Are FD callipers and discs a worthy upgrade for the FC?

I have a set of FC grooved discs here for sale. Combined with some good pads, it coupld be a cheap upgrade...

FD discs wont fit the FC - so thats out the window
and they reckon a cheap upgrade is to change the fluid and bleed the brakes ;)

Black diamond grooved disks with hawk pads I think have been found to be the best combo so far, unless you are lucky to find the re-a bolt on upgrade or make a spacer bracket to fit R33 brakes :)

theres not a lot of point in just getting FD callipers as theyre pretty much the same as the TII brakes performance wise

Agreed, the turbo II setup is 4 pot, and are very good as standard :) perhaps just uprate the disks and get braided lines :)

That is true performance wise, but the FD calipers tend to suffer less from moisture getting in and causing stuck pistons. But a service on the caliper will sort that out.
I must admit, changing disks and pads made a huge difference on the cab - and it's a heavier car.

Fronts are like new, rears have about a 1mm lip, still loads of life in them. I will have look to see what pads were one them.
