OK since the day i got my car back from the bodyshop (weds 15 July 09)
There seems to be something draining the battery when the car is off, happened yday/last nite and just there(12.30am) I noticed that where the pop up lights used to be, underneath where the motor is i think, i can feel that it's quite warm even tho i havent drove it the whole day? (i removed the pop ups and went sleek)
Also i noticed there a funny weird faint noise, like a electrical sound (biz, clink, biz; sound) but when i removed the battery the noise is gone!

I was think it might be the alarm system but could it be something to do with the pop up light motor?

help!!

I have no idea whats wrong!!!

Bloody alarm keeps coming on when the battery is flat!

You can disconnect the lights which might isolate those as a cause. Think they are the round white connectors.
To be honest you need to trace where the noises are coming from and then isolate to ensure its thats that is at fault. You should be getting no noises when the battery is connected and ignition off. With the ignition on however you will get a few noises from the engine bay only.

If this has not happened before and after your new front end then I would double check how they have wired your lights up,also the pop up light connector will be disconnected anyway but always good to bag the free connector to stop water from shorting things out.

Kinda hard to determine where the sound is exactly coming from.
I can hear its coming from the left then to the right a few sec later then rinse and repeat.

The noise from the right sounds like its coming from near the battery/light section.
Not really sure where the noise from the left is coming from tho

Try removing the headlight retractor fuse (30A) - it could be draining the battery through that circuit - all depends on what you've done with the lights.

But removing that fuse won't affect the lights working if you've gone sleek.

i have to admit - i have no idea

but is it the motors trying to close the lights ??

i dont know how they know they are closed - but it might be trying to close them all the time

im not sure if the headlight motors work with the IGN off ( maintenance button )

like both pete and dave said - either pull the fuse or disconnect the lights
