View Full Version : Is it safe to jack FC's up by the rear diff casing?

As title really? It is on most cars, but not all (watched at this happed to a mate once!), so before I accidently put a jack through the alloy diff casing, I thought I best check!

ive done it on the fd always better to use jacking points and axel stands but needs must an all

Yeah, its fine, the FC diff is very strong, unlike the FD diffs lol :)

I Do it all the time and does no harm as long as you have got a fairly big jack head to spread the load.

Or a small jack with a lump of wood :)

Rear diff is listed in the red book as a jacking point, as is the front subframe :wave

Unless there is a big rust hole where your should be able to jack up the car like my car lol ooops
