well with teh Use of an FD Apexi Power FC on my 2nd gen FC.. teh only clocked currently working are the speedo and the fuel gauge...

well at santapod last weekend my car was on half a tank of fuel ALL day including the 2 hour drive home!!! :smash:

so thats clearly buggered!

with that in mind, i have plans for something pretty different for my new interior..
but In order to really go ahead with them I will need to either replace my current speedo with an after market one.. ORR figure out how to get it to work standa alone.

so my question is.. 'is there an off the shelf solution for speedos, how easy are they to sort, how much is it going to cost me!

Same for Fuel gauge, who does them/how much.. are they easy to wire in!

many thanks,
phil

Speedos are just mechanically driven so you might be lucky in finding something as a standalone. The fuel gauge I think only has two wires coming from the sender so should be a doddle to fit. However you might want to check your plug in the boot for a good connection and also the sender unit in case thats buggered and its not the gauge.
Going back to your speedo you could go for a standard rx7 speedo and mount that in some sort of pod.? or you could just come to me and get another set of clocks, sure i have a UK set somewhere. Be about £45 delivered.

not bad but not exactly what im after.. there WAS an LED dash thingy for an FD on here not so long ago.. perhaps that can be modified for the FC???

not having much luck searching for after market fuel gauges and an aftermarket speedo, although I havent really looked too hard.

My main concern was though that because the speedo is mechanical and not elec.. gonna be a nightmare to swap.

May look into using a secondary dash clock and butchering it.

hmm.
