Distributer Cap

My Gen 1 has decided to chew the dizzie cap to bits. Does anyone know if I am likely to get one in Halfords or am I just gonna be wasting me time :confused:

Could probably do with a rotor arm to.

hmmmm I doubt halfords would do them and of they did they would be expensive. I seem to remember that Rotechnics are about the cheapest/quickest place to buy these parts from

I got a rota arm from my local shop c.a.s Central Auto Supplys can't remember if i got a dizzy cap at the same time but it's always worth ask yours, u dont know if you dont ask!!!
p.s i'm breaking a series1 mk2 and mk3 if you need any other bits.

I tried Halfords but the little oik behind the parts counter said its a dealer only thing...I think not my friend!

MPK, I am not really up on all the series mullarky, what years are they (mines an 85). Could do with a pair of rear hatch struts!

85 would be a series 1 mk3

Yours will be a series 1 mark 3 (the best) the struts always go the only way to fix the prob is to get them re-gased not sure how much this is but if you post a line in services or parts I'm sure someone will know.

I can let you have a 2nd hand set (cap and rotor arm) for the postage.The car was running before I replaced them, so they should still work.

Or, try PIP at WGT in Northwich.

Halfords quoted me about £60 for the two, but I eventually bought from Victoria British, along with a load of suspension/steering bits.
