I have an 89 egi anD as my fd is nearing complition I will soon be taking it off the road for a re-fresh and fitting of my ebo sleek and mazspeed (I think) kit.
After which Ill be looking at more power the way I see it is I can either go harhcore na pp itb,s etc. Or renesis swap.
Alternitivley I could swap the engine and running gear from a turbo II
I realise that I could easily go out and buy a tII for not much money but wheres the fun in that? I will be taking the lump out anyway for paint, and stripping the subframes etc for powder coating so the work dosnt really matter. Above all the car I have is totally solid and rot free so I see keeping a car I know to be solid and straight to be the best option.
Also as im fitting a full body kit bumpers, wings, skirts ,diffuser and spoiler so the differances in the tII and egi body styling makes no odds either way.
So I guess what im asking ,what do you guys think will be the most cost effective reliable and end up being the most fun to drive way of getting between 250- 300 hp for around an over all cost of no more than £1500 if its even feasable at all.
Your views and comments will be most welcome.

The stock turbo II setup can get 300bhp out of, thats what im doing, thats on stock ports etc, porting an EGI might cost quite a bit, plus getting it mapped etc, might be easier to get a turbo II lump as you can always change the turbo if you want to in the future, you can't turn the boost up on an EGI.
WHat eibo kit do you have? I thought I was the only one in the UK with the eibo sleek rear spoiler lol

Im leaning towards the pp route but if I go this route I dont know weather to use my existing engine as a base or pick up a renesis motor and use that.
I know that the turbo route will be the cheapest way to get power but it just wouldnt be as cool as hardcore na.
Im not really scared about attacking the pp thing myself I just need to research it a whole lot more and then keep an eye out for used Itb's managment etc to keep costs down. I need to finish of my fd and then finish fixing the honda I just bought to replace the fc for daily duties so I can take the fc off the road to let the filthing begin.

TBH i wouldn't bother with going for a renesis PP motor. I doubt you can squeeze that much more out of it than the 13b engine. The renesis would also take a hell of a lot more work as i dont think it just drops straight in.
