Damn, 230miles later and the unreliability has started, lol.

Suddenly last night the illumination for the dash clocks and the Defis stopped working. Im hoping its a fuse, but someone mentioned dash lasts failing is a FC "thing", but how much truth there is in that I dont know.
Are there any likely issues that happen on FCs that cause this?

Aside from that, the dash clock lights have always been quite dull like they are set on a low setting on the adjuster knob, but where is that? :3Confused As my cars pretty stripped a lot of things are gone or moved, so not sure what is where!

Cheers

The illumination for the lights is on the end of the light switch itself which may cure your problem. It may just be the switch at fault but to be honest its a rare sort of fault if there is a problem.

My dash lights dim from time to time. Just a little tap on the top of the dash usually cures it! But as Pete says check the twisty knob on the end of the light switch itself first. Thats the proper dimmer switch.

I gave the dash a hiding, but it didnt listen and is still off, lol.

I was messing with the twisty nob previously, and it made no difference, so presumed it wasnt that.

As long as I have time tonight ill take a look, if not then tomorrow daytime, hopefully its something simple!

is the fag lighter ring working ??

might be the fuse thats all

i suppose it all depends on where they picked up the lighting ring feed for the Defi's - i have always use the one that the fag lighter uses

if you look at the FAQ's at the top of the 2nd gen section - im sure i put a fuse box layout diagram and what each one powers ??
