cool. wierd seeing an rx3 with english plates on it. :D i cant believe you guys have so little old mazdas there.

About 8000 RX3's were sold in UK.

Rust is major killer here not of underfloor but top panels as floor was galvanised,salted roads being the leading cause.
When the RX3 was first sold here in 1972 they sold a few then the oil crisis struck and there were fields of them, 1000's,that would'nt shift.considering that only 10a versions were sold here it is no wonder that they had some trouble.the engines did not like to sit for years with no use,some were even sold in 76 that had sat for 3 years!The 10a with carbon 6 mm seals were not at their best you might say so a lot got converted to piston engines.
I have had 5 RX3s here and 2 had piston engines in them.I still own 2 at present,! is the red 1 above the other is a heavily modified race car with 9 inch wide wheels and plexi windows,weighs about 600 kilos,as yet needs engine which I will soon build for it.

Didnt have a few weeks back. Keeps threatening to stick a 13B PP in it, its a wicked looking motor, mostly ally/plexy, trick susp. etc...

Think he has other projects on the go though so the race '3 is still tucked away waiting for its day...
