Hi! I am new to the club and am researching the Elford designation on my RX7. I bought the car from my son and put it in storage 12 years ago. I liked the way it drove and handled and felt it would be a classic in the future. It has lhd, pepperpot wheels and does not have turbo.{yet} Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi, and welcome :wave

Cant help you much myself but in last months Japanese Peformance there was a feature about elford's which you might find interesting :) although with jap performances reputation it might not all be fact, but still worth a look;)

The Elford designation comes from the dealership in the UK that created and sold all sorts of bits to uprate the 1st gen 7. By far the most significant of these was the elford turbo.

I think the dealership was owned by Vic Elford who had a fairly big racing career at the time (?)

i think the dealership is still going in name but I'm betting they stopped selling turbo kits around 20 years ago
