Bent FMIC

I have managed to bend my FMIC - not by much though....

... I crashed the rex into some Armco and have bent it by about 1inch max - after the crash i was able to drive about 2KM to the end of the track and all temps etc were OK so think that there are no leaks...

FIMC= 2 row Greddy

My questions are:

1/ Is there anywhere i can get this straighterned out?
2/ Where can this be checked that it is still fully working as it should
3/ Can this be left as it is?
4/ Should i just scrap it and get a new one?? and use standard one for new month???

Any help will be great as unsure where to go from here or who to ask...

If it dose not leak air & dose not affect the cars power, then leave it.

If you are a unhappy with how it looks, then replace it. To fix will cost nearly as much to just buy another.

Alternativly if its ok, just put some mesh in front of it to mask the damage if you don't like the look of it, might also help in stopping stones and stuff smash it up more.

When you are giving it a few revs then have something like a feather or tissue and place around the area damaged, you will soon tell if there is a leak. The alternative is to get it pressure checked by someone.

I might just stick it back on bent and cover it with mesh as advised above - when looking at it, it looks new and in good condition - its not until you stand above it you can see that the top right has been push back slightly...

...but me being paranoid and don't really like cutting corners with cars, i want to get this checked for pressure... anyone got ideas on where to get this done??

get some washing up liquid. spred that round where you think leak is. rev engine , if the intercoolers leaking it will bulbble up. you sure you can feel breeze from intercooler and not from engine (fan or similar)

If your really worried any local (water) Radiator repair shop should be able to pressure test this

It definiatly coming from that area where it took the hit/damaged - can't feel air coming from anywhere else other than the impact spot :(:(

Anyway thanks for all the help and offers, i've now managed to sort another one and might have sold my old one... happy days!!
