whats the chances of this happening!!!! sorted out a really good quote for 1050 with 4 yeads ncb for an rx7 type rz. am going to see the car tomorrow and get car chassis number for the insurance company to start policy from tomorrow and silly me has a car crash today.. in my cheap throw away passat estate worth 300 quid. into the side of a lovely brand new passat!!! with about 50 miles on clock.
spoke to the insurance company and told them of the events and said what i thought the damage was to repair and the insurance for the rx just jumped up by 350 quid :( glad i protected my no claims sods law hey!!!!

I thought that if you had a protected bonus you were 'allowed' two or three bumps, regardless of blame, without it affecting your premium :confused:

If you have proctected NCB your claim will still go up if you have an accident. You are just entitled to still get the most "discount" instead of also loosing that too.

Its still all a con though, hate them!

i asked that question to the insurers. they said they see you as a risk. you keep your ncd. then they jjust add a loading dependant on scale of your accident ( cost`s involved etc ) as jap rx said its all a scam. protected ncb should mean protected ncb... not .. charge you to protect em them charge you when you claim....
