Not sure which section this should be in,but i think this is about right.i went to but some new tyres last week,and was delighted when they told me i had 3mm of tread,and didn't need them!Conversely,they grabbed hold of the front wheels,gave them a shake,and claimed the front left wheel was basically being held on by the brake caliper.i don't know if this is a scare story or not,but they advised i take the car home very slowly,as the wheel could sheer off.Pretty worrying stuff when i'd taken my friend out for a tonthirty blat a couple of days before.The people at the garage said i would need a whole hub,so if anyone has one spare,can you let me know,please?i haven't tried Tim RX yet,i know he'll have a few million about!I shudder to think what postage costs will be,too.The mot has now expired,and it's going to be a lot more costly than the £5 it has cost for the last 3(for a seatbelt clip!)Hope someone can decipher what i'm wittering about,and can help.Dante:wave oh yeah,it's an 85 model
