Why do all insurance companies class RX7's as 2.6 litre engines when they are not.

Technically they are 2.6 litre, if you measure the capacity the same way as a 4 stroke then it measures 1.3.
I think the above is right but don't take it as gospel!!
Don't really matter too much as insurance companies know how fast they are anyway....
My registration documents have 1300cc but my insurance company say it a 2.6!
Its great for tax though!

Its because of a Mazda agreement with the DVLA from years ago. Theres loads of info on here if you do a search about it.
