I would like to learn about turbos, so links needed pls

Hi, i've read loads of threads on this forum about going single, what you need, how much it costs etc. I can seem to find much info on turbos themselves, i.e what all the number and fact mean, like housing sizes, compression ratios etc.
Can anyone post some links so i can do a bit or research and try to learn what most of you guys seem to know inside out and back to front.
