does anybody know anything at all about these pads?i have them fitted to my '85 rx-7,and they are crap in the wet!:( to start with, anyway.in normal conditions, they're fine, but they do have a tendency towards squeaking.usually when you least want them to!they are mated to black diamond combi discs,if that makes any difference.expensive, but very pretty!:D

ROTORHEAD!
I had a set of Hawk pads fitted in my 2000 model RX-7 a while ago. I did not like the pads at all, I am pretty hard on brakes on the racetrack and I went through a set of the Hawk pads very quickly.
When it is cold these pads can be dangerous as I find they just didn't stop the car. I always had to make sure I rested my foot on the brake peddle for a little while when driving first thing.
I think with different rotor's like yours they may be ok. But overall you will not be able to beat Chris Wilson's brake pads (as per the other thread).
These types of pads will tend to squeak and dust the wheels badly also.

Absolutely right! They squeak like hell, and are dustier than the sahara desert!I wonder what standard Mazda pads are like in comparison? They seemed to last ages, and never squeak.I'd love to try these brakes out on a track,i haven't managed to lock them up,yet..!

The Hawk's are probably better than the standard Mazda pad, as I also went through a set of Mazda pads in 3 x 20min stints on a track day.
The ultimate pads again are the ones that Chris Wilson can supply. Don't forget that you need the right fluid also - as the standard fluid tends to boil.
