wasnt just new york, they were displayed and auctioned in london, my cousin has "jersey cow", twas an expensive bit of fibre glass i can tell ya :Hammer

what was the context of the cow?, most were painted by famous artists

Don't feel bad - I asked on the stand and they did not know either. The German lady looking out for the 787 thought it might be just a bit of fun because the event took place in field. (Not sure the Earl would smile kindly on the description of his 'front garden') She went on to explain that it might also be because they (Mazda) don't like to take themselves too seriously...somewhat contradicted by the belated mass deployment of posts and ropes around the big exhibit! (A reaction to one bloke attempting to open the door. She was on him in a trice!) Still, I have to agree with her in as much as I think, corporately, they missed the point of the whole thing!

Hugely impressed to hear that someone has bought one of the NY cow festival exhibits but as anyone from Milton Keynes will tell you...real cows are concrete.:)

hehe - the old concrete cows. I remember they weren't painted at first, but some students decorated them as a kind of 'natural please' protest.

Still struggling with the 'why' of it all !:3Confused :D

it's because cows were featured in the original cosmo brochure and that was the theme of the stand. that's also where the "our engine runs circles round yours" originates from :)

But why did they then use cows for the original Cosmo Promo stuff ???
