Just got a sample quote from Adrian Flux

Standard '95 Type R worth £10K parked on private drivway at night, 12,000 miles SDP usage

I'm 33 - clean licence held for 15 years, 5 years company car driving (documented as claim free)

get this £989 a year with £520 excess - tescvo online quote was better than this but did require a tracker installed.

I think they like people to be experienced in driving high performance cars as well as having a clean history.

For example, someone could have been driving a 1.1 Fiesta for 10 years with a clean history, then they step into an RX and wrap themselves around a tree :(

admittedly I drive a 1.8 mondeo at the moment (cheap and cheerful basically) but have also had an MX-5 for the past 2.5 years. The MX isn't exactly high performace but it is classed as a 2-seater sports car, and it's a rag top......

Tesco were about £900 for a similar spec - much lower excess as long as I have a tracker fitted.....

i also got a 1.8 mondeo aint they nice ;) but as of yesterday also got me RX7 hmmmm tiz worth the pain of high running costs insurance cetc but dont quote me on that when i'm moaning about being skint......lol. Have you tried the classic car insurance thing?
