Hi

I have just moved to Wellington, New Zealand with my wife, we've been hear a couple of weeks now and other than when I’ve been to car shows I’ve seen more RX-7's hear on the road than I ever did in the UK.

Unfortunately the NZ rules prevented me from importing my 95 RX-7, so now I’m on the look out to buy another.

Can anyone give me some advice for the best place to start making contacts in NZ? I've found this website:

http://www.japaneseusedcars.co.nz/

Who import to New Zealand. They also have some Spirit-R's up for auction, which are very tempting.

I've also contacted Newera who have the possibility of importing to New Zealand.

Is there anyone else?

Also I’ve been unable to locate any Rotary specialist can anyone help?

Cheers,
James.

The Batmobile as they call the 3rd gen cannot be imported to NZ by anyone, but there were some that got in before they stopped that, and you can legally buy one of these and run around in it.

Get in touch with the Wellington Mazda Rotary Enthusiasts boys (MREC). The link is in Gary's post. Speak to Darryl Monk or Tony Stenhouse, both good lads who will look after you.

As for tuners ask them about Sam Watson (used him myself - very good!) in Wainui or RES in Karori or the famous Lawton boys in Param. Oh and join Kiwirotary!!

Hey.....Well after what seems like a year on a plane, Ive finally landed!

Hired a Land Cruiser, and booked into a hotel by the harbour at Auckland.

Heading around the north island for the first week then down to the South for the 2nd.

Is anyone going to watch the Pro7 series racing next weekend?

Cheers
