as long as its visable and the correct font and colour I can't see any body kicking up a fuss about one, hence why I'm thinking of fitting one, but they are technically ilegal as they don't have the correct BS markings :mad:

don't know what other choices I've got really, the standard position mounting on the 1st gen is the biggest POS ever in my opinion

Hi Mike ,

Try www.gtgrafix.co.uk they seem to be able to make anything any size to do with plates.

All the best Clive.

Sticky number plates -
Just put one on my FC. Got it from AutoEquip, Kirkintilloch, nr Glasgow for £8. If anyone`s interested, I can put some orders in for them (the computerised job only takes seconds.

So SPANK ME!!! *grin*

Actually I did get stuck in a traffic jam a while back, and crept past a traffic car that HAD to have seen I was plateless. I awaited the inevitable bee-baa-bee-baa, and ntohing happened.

I was a bit disappointed by that, and I was going to stop and cajole them into having a look, but I thought "if they can't be arsed to do me, then neither can I..."

Given my 0 - 60 at trax, they could have wandered up next to me and sauntered at my wilting acceleration (I thought I'd better own up before anyone slaughtered me!!)

And yep, a volvo. Daily driver.

Well, it still seemed quick compared to the volvo...

Next year I've already sorted out one of them steam powered launcher thingy's to throw me up the track. 0 - 60 in about 0.2 secs. (length of time it usually takes me to break an engine...)

I got mine at Tennant Plastics in Nottingham. Unfortunately they don't do mail order and are only open on weekdays. Cost around £8. They can do anything on a sticky that they do on a normal plate tho - badges and stuff.

They're not legal in theory, but I can't see anyone stopping you as long as the font/spacing would normally be ok on a proper plate.

theres graphics companys littered about anywhere that will make, them, i wondered into one in Widnes and they made me one up in 10 mins for a small amount of money on reflective material.

Theres a different rule for imports about where you can have the plate mounted and how big it is etc.
