OK, I am starting to look at building an engine for my FD.

I am looking at having it ported, but to what extent I am not sure.

I will be running the twin turbo setup to start with, then looking at moving to a big single in the future.

So back to the question, how much should I be looking at for a build?

For the tips, I like the idea of the 2mm standard tips, because of the stories I hear about 3mm tips chattering. I understand that the 2mm are not as good at handling det, but a good map(per) should resolve this issue.

If I supply an engine, that is either running, or losing compression that they can rebuild. Then they supply all the parts needed, porting, building and removing and re-fitting.

Thanks

Are you thinking of doing the rebuild yourself or geting it done for you?

I would recomend not to try a Twin turbo engine rebuild if its your first time?

The Twins have lots of pipe work that is not easy to get out and put back (lots of pictures)

I'm looking at an engine rebuild similar to yourself but haven't decided on a single or twin turbo setup. Anyway the cost is out of my price range at the mo as I've just got a new house (doh!), so I'm going for a DIY rebuild. There's loads of info out there.

Fish, where abouts in Kent are you coz I'm also in the same part of the world.

I rebuilt mine and ported it aswell.
My cost for all the seals and gaskets was apx. $900 american.
I was lucky and did not have to replace any parts ie. rotors,e-shaft,housings or plates.
