Supposing I wanted a Mechanical 1.5/2 way LSD does anyone know what options I have. Its a hard thing to search for on the net without getting clogged up with useless sites.

Ideally id like a website with a few options and prices...

Also, how difficult would it be to fit one.

Cheers

Lee, your best option would be to speak with someone like Quaife.

AFAIK (and this may be wrong but) the Quaife Diffs are not clutch type which is what I think I need.

I also believe Quaife wont supply single diffs and you have to order a minimum number, but that doesnt matter if they dont do what I need :o

Just been on Quaifes site and it does confirm that it wont meet my needs.

The only option I can think of at the moment is Kaaz, but I dont know anything about them. Surely Mazdaspeed must make diffs though?

From memory, either the Mazdaspeed or the Cusco diffs are made by Kaaz.

Hmm any chance you could find out which?

I had forgotten about Cusco, but if they are just Kaaz ones anyway it might be easier to just get a Kaaz.

Max ordered a Kaaz diff from Co-Ord I think - considering they're Cusco people it may well be that they are one and the same. Phil has a Cusco diff but I couldnt say if it is 'just' a rebadge or not, I doubt its obvious by looking either...

Dang, how longs it been?

At least your diff is still serviceable, would've been a reet :censored::censored::censored::censored:er if you'd bust it in half :)

ur best bet will be a Kaaz diff as it is got a larger clutch disc compare to other, not sure about mazdaspeed but it was bigger than the equivalent TRD unit, i had experience with the KAAZ 2 WAY LSD with my hachiroku, it is very good and very easy to get the car sideways:o
