Hello rotary friends,

this stamp is come out in Germany the 02. January 2007
It is a recognition to a brilliant invention.
I mean it's well done - the colour and the arrangement.

But....is there not a little mistake?

50 years of rotary engine - ok
1957 was the year of the invention of DKM54.

but the NSU RO80 appeared 1967.

That's what i mean.
Tom

PS. Thank you Clive for your welcome.

Hi Tom,
I guess that in Germany the R0 80 was the car that defined the rotary engine, even though it was not the first proper production rotary engined vehicle.he azda Cso was th first Proper production vehicbuilt specifically fo he tary ene comng out just before the R0 80.
The Wankel Spyder was the first car t have a rotary put into it though by NSU.
I think the stamp looks great!

Carl
