Hi Stu,

Had a think about it, it would probably be best if you post a thread into the "Wanted" Forum.

Let me know what you think.

Did you try http://www.wgtautodevelopments.co.uk/?

Pip is actually on the Forum also. Pip Gardner (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/member.php?action=getinfo&userid=117)

humm not sure what to try really

if i put it in the wanted section - then i will assume that people will try and sell me parts from their own cars

i thought the scrap yard idea was a good one - as most have different prices etc... and they are based all round the UK

the reason i ask , is that i phoned like 10 local scrappies and not one with an rx7 - now i have been told that there are a few dotted around manchester ( about 1 hrs drive away ! )

im sure i have tried wgt - i dont think i have - but i spoke to jimmy's and they want £20 for a centre console lid - now i would assume a scrap yard to be a lot cheaper ( and with no postage ! )

its also nice to nosey round scrap cars to see what extra they have etc...

i will leave this idea with you and we can see what happens !

There is a large breakers yard near us in Pease Pottage (Sussex) GWG Bridges, too far away for you but my girlfriend saw what she described as a very clean series 1 RX7 on the back of one of their lorries a couple of days ago. She spoke to the driver and was told it was going for breaking :(. They used to have loads of older cars but these day they seem mainly concentrating on later stuff, mainly coz that's where the money is and all these EU regs now (which is contributing to the demise of the good old fashioned scrap yard we used to enjoy)!

If they're gonna break it... perhaps it's worth a look to see if we can save it... anyone know if it's still there?
