Since buying my fd on wednesday i have been scared by its steering and i believe that all is not well with it.Whilst driving normally and not thrashing it the car has a tendancy to go where it likes be it left or right, it does this suddenley and with quite a lot of force. I would like to know if you guys have any ideas what this could be.

Hi,
From your description the problem sounds like nothing more that the tracking needs adjusting but as Danny has suggested you need a geometry check ASAP to make sure all is well and safe
You really need a 4 wheel laser alignment done which shouldn't cost lots but the benefits will be huge.
An FD is a VERY nice car to drive with beautiful steering and should do like 170mph with you being able the almost remove your hands off the wheel !
Chances are your car has had a tap on one of the wheels around the car in it's time but please don't worry to much as the cars suspension is very adjustable you will also find by having this done your tyre life will improve greatly thus more than paying for the wheel alignment to be done.
Hope this helps
