Does anyone know any good places?
I really think I should use some good rubber for Brands on Monday, meaning I would need to have the new tyres by Friday which might be pushing it. 255/40/17.
Any recommendations on what to get, im running them on road too. Was thinking Eagle F1s (yes I know I should of done the group buy but I didnt). Anything else worth considering that wont be mega expensive?

Hi Lee,
Micheldever tyres (www.micheldever.co.uk) have a good reputation, I got my S03s from there. Also mytyres.net usually have a good price, I bought Eagle F1s for the MX5 from them, but they may struggle to deliver in your timescales.

Well have ordered from mytyres. Im not hopefully of getting them in time, so I guess ill have have to make a choice on whats available.
Current wheels with Jappy Tyres of Death.
Other 17's with new rears, though not a named brand.
Standard with some worn but legal things on.
Even thats not such an easy choice!

you could try getting a local outlet to price match if infact they can also get soon enought (u never no kwikfit may keep those sizes in stock http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies/otn/happy/11zwinky.gif) this was wot happened with the recent group buy seems most people just got local places to price match & fit 'em n all so maybe of use to ya as i say if you can find any in sizes u seek locally......

Considered that but went for those Kumhos on the hope that they are as good as told.

Lee, if you get stuck I have a set of rear wheels with almost bald S-02's on them that you can borrow. S-02's at this level are great fun, and have loads of grip.

Cheers Dan,
As stated above, I have 3 sets of wheels with tyres but probably none of them are that great for a track day in terms of grip. I needed new road tyres anyway so have ordered a couple.
Im tempted to take your S02's, but if its wet thats not going to be good :D Are they on 17" rims?

Lee, yes they are 17's. Stupid idea that you have already thought off, is take this spare set and change the rear wheels, that way you have a legal set for road use.
Guess I might have to come along on Monday.
On the limit S-02's are even in the wet than most tyres with loads or tread.
