Can antone give me anymore info on the way the stock fans work
Each fan has 4 cables , 3 switched via relays and 1 negi
different relays switching alters fan speed but how ??? looking at the wiring diagrams it looks like they all carry 12v , anyone enlighten me
I'm curious because I've just installed a new rad with new fans which only have a posi and negi to each , Pip has told mw to connect to the red/yellow on one fan and white on the other , looking at the wiring diagram this makes sense , basically means the fans will operate when relays 2 and 4 switch ( think these are done via the ECU , would there be any advantage in splicing all 3 +v to the +v on the new fan i.e would this cause the fan to operate more often ???
Just looking at different ways to ensure cool runing , also I'm looking into a way of making the fans over run once ignition has been turned off via either a timer or thermostat , this could also be used to keep an electric water pump running aswell , any ideas ???
