Started the car up after three days of not driving it. Noticed on the way home the oil light was flickering on and off randomly. The oil pressure is fine so i thought that the level was low. it was kind of low so added some oil, drove it again and the same. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance.

Thats pretty low, it should have sorted it filling it up, let it settle and make sure the oil is full to the top mark on the dipstick then check it out mine does this when its half full or less on the dipstick.

Topped up the oil to full and the light is still flickering it appears to be a loose connection at the sensor. Does anyone know where the sensor plugs into the only thing i have moved recently is the lights as i fitted HID lights and had to move the wires that lie behind the lights and was wandering if i have posibly disturbed the sender?

Hi

The oil level sensor is plugged into the left hand side of the sump. It's a funny little white connector. Mine broke while I was checking it, so it could well be a dodgy connection.
