can any one explain the differences between a cerametallic and carbon clutch.
is it just the lack of heat build up with the carbon?
thanks matt

Hi Matt
The main difference between the two is that when a clutch slips it makes heat, and the more heat that is generated with a carbon centerplate the more grip it will achieve, as it actually needs to be hot to grip properly.
Any sinthered type centerplates rely on the material purely grabbing against the pressure plate and the flywheel surfaces.
BTW, cerametalic is a sinthered type material
Hope this helps
