Following on for my headlight problem, could someone tell me a little bit about the lights on the FD, please?

I need to know if the headlights should pop up, and dips should come on when the switch is turned to the side and tail position. Looking at the diagram I don't think this is right.

Also, does anyone know if there is a UK or jap wiring diagram around anywhere? All I can find are left hand drive ones!!!! I'm trying to locate the X-08 connector behind the dash.

They don't pop on side lights, sides should be in the nose.

If I remember correctly (and I WILL double check over the weekend) the connector is attached to the underside of the steering column. Its been a while since I rewired the lights, but I do remember red/yellow, red/white wires (although they may actually be indicators, let me check it rather than guess.)

Hang on there. Is this a UK or Jap car?

It's a UK car. I was wondering if there are any differences...?

btw, Shyne, Thanks for you reply. I found the connector under the steering column, which was helpful, but it's not the one I'm looking for. I'm looking for the conector that connects the Dash loom to the Front loom.

Ok.
Ive had EGI, Turbo II, 2 x 323s, and we have mx-5. On all of these cars, the headlights come on dim when you put the parking lights on, ( and had the key on)

My jap FD doesnt do this, (and neither did my wife's 323 from outside uk).

I think its probably correct, and seems to be a UK thing. I suppose we need an owner of another UK FD to chime in here.

Thanks ever so much. Thinking about it my UK MR2 did the same, but I had no idea whether this was right on the FD. It made me wonder if some other wiring was causing problems. I'll get onto fixing that wire once I've found the darn X-08 connector!

Thanks for your help :guinness As ever it's much appreciated. Hopefully I'll get this little beast on the road one of these days!
