not an enormous amount, my understanding is that they have more control than a PFC, BUT, you cannot have them mapped by anyone other than an HKS registered dealer as they have some sort of code lock.

Is this the Gold one ?
I know a few modded cars that run this, properly set up allows you to remove MAF sensors etc

I have 1... Took it out tho as theres no1 in Ireland i would trust to map it or take care of it after it was mapped so i put in a power fc...
Half of it still sittin in the car... Must take it out actually!!
Might go back to it in time if its a better ecu for runnin more power etc...
It piggys off the standard ecu tho...

i have one on my skyline and they beat hands down the Apexi FC's. There are more maps available on the F con's plus the tuning abilitys are a greater.
For example 2 highly tuned cars running the same set up but diff Ecu's ( apexi and HKS ) the HKS can gain an extra 40bhp or so extra ( been told this by Abbey motorsport )
The good thing about the Apexi is over ecu's they have the commander for real time information.

HKS is a piggy back ecu so plugs onto your original one.
Apexi is seperate ecu

A little bird tells me these will soon be a great deal easier to sort out if you are an FD owner and live within easy reach of the south coast

The FCon V Pro is a nice bit of kit but it ain't cheap.
As said you can buy it as a piggy back by just buying the ECU and a loom adapter to use the factory sensors or if you want to get real serious it can be run as a stand alone management system.
Look to pay around £1400 for the ECU and the adapter loom and probably something in the region of £4000 fitted and mapped to run it as a stand alone like a Motec system.
This is why the Apexi is so popular because it's cheap and handles most applications
Hope this helps.
