Where does the knock sensor plug into?

I keep getting the "knock sensor open or short circuit" error code on my FD. I cant work out which bit of the loom it plugs into as it has the same kind of connector as the power steering one.

Does it plug into the connector on the loom that runs behind the alternator, or the connector that sits behind the power steering pump?
Shouldn't be too hard to see where the little wire goes, either from the PS pump, or the knock sensor. If someone could pop their head under their bonnet and check it out for me I'd be most grateful.

I've had a loook through the FSM, but it's not very specific.

yellow and black single pin if it helps....i might have a diagram one sec...

basically best way i can describe it is:

follow the main bit of loom up from the ecu plugs, past the branch containing solenoid rack connectors, past the fuel rail connectors, past the branch containing the airpump connector and its sort of on the same branch as the OMP and Crank angle sensors

err....slowly lol! Ahhh that reminds me, send me your address and Ill drop this tool back to you! Funds have gotten a tad low so its stalling somewhat...also waiting for some bits to arrive....doesnt bother me much as i got loads of other things to do...including swapping a gearbox on my driveway!

Fair enough, I know that feeling! All of my projects have stalled at some point because of lack of funds.

One last thing...

Since you pulled your motor apart recently, can you remember when this goes?

errrr.....i can honestly say I have never seen that before!! Nothing that looks like that came off my engine!

DOH! I've got a feeling it goes somewhere around the turbos, as it's clearly some part of heat shielding, but I'm stuffed if I can see where! Cheers anyway.

The knock sensor seems to be fine now, btw. One error code eliminated!:Party

looks like it goes on the subframe - looking from front, just to the lower left of the turbos? and maybe a little way into the tunnel.
