I'm very pi**ed off.

My insurance company insisted on cat 1 alarm so I got these mobile fitters to do the job yesterday. All seemed OK until I drove the car home when it became obvious that the drivers door trim was making creaking noises. This is new, there was no noise from any trim or fittings before the installation. Got it home put it in the garage so I could have a look and found that the door pillar was damaged, grooved to bare metal. I studied this for a while and it seems to me that the engineer removed the seatbelt from the seat fitting retainer, I guess to work under the carpet and slammed the door shut with the belt buckle in the door jam.

I've rung them today and they are sending someone out to see it monday. He is sure to deny it so any suggestions on what I should do?

Sorry its a long post but I just needed to vent my anger:mad:

Sorry to hear that mate.
I had the same problem which was denied. I never had any creaks in my interior until I had an alarm and tracker put. One of my speaker wires wasn't reconnected. My centre console section the bit around the gearstick and handbrake they broke a couple of the clips on and both doors had a slight creaking from trim.
I'm having to sort these out myself.
Shame there is no rx7 specialist that fits alarms and stuff as well.
