OK roll up roll up a group buy is work in progress on scoobynet on the above tyres, now naturally the majority of scooby types are after skinny tyres but i bowled in & asked for some more meaty options ;)
Latests prices inclusive of VAT & delivery to door are:
235/45/17 - £93 inc VAT
255/40/17 - £98 inc VAT
There are other prices on smaller sizes but equally ask away & i'll inquire on thread what prices wood/will be on wider bigger uns?

Might be interested, but isnt getting them fitted a problem. Quickfit refused to touch tyres I didnt buy from them before.

Yeah I normally just get quickfit to price match. Its funny seeing them knock over £50 a tyre off just like that :D
Might have to try and find a fitting place. Any idea how soon this is likely to happen before I die? My tyres are so bad in the wet.

Dunno yet i think the only delay is going to be on 215/40ZR17s which are wot most the scooby boys want as they're a bit sparse but i dont see why there should be too much of a delay with the sizes we'd be looking at & i'm happy to go to the bottom of any queue since i dont get car for another 8 weeks......
FYI main thread is here (http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?ThreadID=270315&Page=1) but as i say nothing is set in stone yet but Brun is usually pretty good with group buys as i recall so shouldn't be an iternity but as i say not my call ;)
Si
PS any posts on scoobynet should not mention wot car i'm getting else i'll be very upset http://burns.thefinaldimension.org/contrib/dvv/:censored::censored::censored::censored:ed.gif as only pleasure i get for next 8 weeks is winding them up ;)

Finding a place to fit them shouldn't be a problem. There's a tyre and exhaust centre attatched to a local garage/petrol station near me, and I see other ones all over the place. The last time I went there I had a busted locking wheelnut removed, and a tyre changed, and still drove out of there with change from a fiver :)

& we can finally order kinda thing now copied from scoobynet:
"Right guy's - The "Order by" date is set. It is Monday 1st of December
For everyone who wants the 215/40/17's - The supplier is prepared to take orders, but will not debit your card until the tyres have been despatched so If anyone decides to go somewhere else for them, then they are free to do so - just don't forget to cancel the order - not that anyone has F1's in 215/40/17
Could everyone who definately wants to order, email me (Subject - Scoobynet groupbuy) with these details -
Name
Home Address
Tyre size, type and quantity.
Home tel no.
Mobile Tel no
I will forward these on to the supplier who will contact you to arrange payment. This can be made with credit/debit card, cheque, paypal etc.
Fingers crossed, this all runs nice and smooth"
Chap you need to email above to is on m_brunskill@ntlworld.com

it deceased in the end as even with all the initial interest from the scooby peaps i think many went to their local dealers & got them to price match + fit them so while the GB itself was a bit cursed cause of the large availability of suppliers etc it did serve a purpose of getting many people cheap tyres i guess http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/ups/DeNiro/peace.gif
Si
PS that means go to yer local kwik fit or sumwhere better, quote them these prices (or better if u can find 'em) & get 'em to price match it's what i'll have to try doing when me car turns up ;)
