I was thinking about buying a 1991 mazda RX7 convertible, but its automatic. I test drove the car and it still handles like a dream. They are asking $6,000 and it is in great condition. I was wondering if there are any known common problems with this model and is it worth getting?

-Thanks-

there's no specific problem that the convertable has over a coupe, just check everything.

Well the only difference is that the ecectric hood should work and be fully water tight.

Hi and Welcome to the site,

I believe your potential car would an EGI [ non Turbo] so apart from the normal i.e. does it start O/K hot and cold
instantly and is there any rust as over here the real wheel arches [ fenders ] tend to rust out .

Other than that just the things Rich mentioned.

Hope this helps.

All the best Clive
